Cast of "Grown-ish" Pays Homage To "A Different World" In Season 2 Promo Trailer

For the trailer for season two of grown-ish, the cast took a page out of the 90’s era. They paid tribute to the iconic A Different World‘s opening sequence and gave the ultimate feeling of nostalgia. The teaser was indeed paying homage to the sitcom, recreating the scenes with Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) prepping in the mirror, the locker room scene featuring Chloe and Halle and even put their own spin on the ending, throwing red cups in the air instead of graduation caps. Chloe and Halle, who play twins Jazlyn and Skylar, also revamped the opening track, “Grown.”

On again off again couple Knockout and Fame seem to be on again after many believed they had broken up.  A few months back Knockout posted to his FB and Instagram that he was looking for a new boyfriend which led may to think the couple had called it quits for good.  While he didn't explicity say it was Fame in the video, it sure does look like him.  Many were shocked to find out the couple were on the outs because their breakup came literally days after they debuted a webseries following the relationship "Our Tough Love" by Signal TV.

PETA Says Phrases Like "Bring Home The Bacon" Are Similar To Homophobia and Racism

Um no.  No No No.  Meat-based idioms, like "flogging a dead horse" or "taking the bull by the horns," can be compared with homophobic and racist language, according to animal rights organization PETA.

"Just as it became unacceptable to use racist, homophobic, or ableist language, phrases that trivialize cruelty to animals will vanish as more people begin to appreciate animals for who they are and start 'bringing home the bagels' instead of the bacon," PETA said on Twitter.

Gay Couple Attacked Near DC Police Station After Kickball Game

DC Police are investigating an assault on two gay men as a hate crime. The incident happened near the U St. Corridor shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday, September 16th.

One of the two victims posted photos to Facebook. The photos show lacerations to one man’s face, bruising under another’s eye.There’s also a photo of blood on a DC Kickball league shirt.

“Everything was and is a blur…but I cannot forget the confusion, fear, and sadness I felt in this moment,” the victim wrote on Facebook.

WTF: 300 Pound Woman Admits To Crushing Her Boyfriend To Death Over Crack

A woman has pleaded guilty to killing her boyfriend by stabbing him, hitting him with a table leg and crushing him under the weight of her roughly 300 pounds.

Windi Thomas, of Erie, faces a sentence of 18 to 36 years after pleading guilty to third-degree murder. She had been scheduled for trial next week, but instead will be sentenced on Dec. 21.

South Carolina Woman Shoots and Kills Prison Escapee Who Kicked In Her Door

An inmate who had escaped minutes earlier from a county jail in South Carolina was shot and killed by a woman after he kicked in her backdoor, the local sheriff said.

The inmate was still in his orange jail jumpsuit and had grabbed a knife sharpening tool from the woman's kitchen in Pickens as he headed toward her bedroom around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark said.

"This was a big guy. If she hadn't had a weapon there's no telling what would have happened," Clark said. "I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her."

Former Inmate With HIV Wins $140K Lawsuit After Spending A Year In Solitary Confinement

A former inmate with HIV will receive $150,000 after he was given a harsher penalty for alleged sexual activity than a non-infected partner.

The state agreed to change policy in assessing inmates with HIV, the proposed settlement says.

John Dorn, 47, said he spent 11 months in administrative segregation, was given a higher security classification then sent to a prison in the Upper Peninsula. The other prisoner only lost privileges for 30 days.

Dorn contended he had an undetectable viral load because of anti-retroviral medication he was taking.
